Here is another, Jet.   They are irrigated rice fields (spring and autumn) in Longji area of China.  Aren't they beautiful...like watercolor art.  Well, they really are I guess.

Here's another.  Very colorful.  I don't know if it has been enhanced, or if is is just the red earth coming through, or sunset colors reflected.




So glad to hear from you, CEK.  We were at DisneyWorld many years ago. And only that one time. My favoite part (and they have changed and added many things I'm sure)  but my favorite was Epcot.

Rice paddies require alot of standing water.  I wonder how that works in these areas of China unless they are in an area with alot of rain and/or the fields are contained by walls??  I suppose that is a satellite photo--or from one??   Artist's rendering?  Very pretty colors.

There used to be some rice paddies along I-5 near the Sacramento cutoff.  Not there the past few years due to water issues, I suspect.
