To anyone who thought I was unnecessarily harsh in my overall assessment of Maks post season 18... take a look at this scathing review from Tumblr:
I always side-eye the people who keep insisting that Maks needs to Meryl civilize him, if only he had her in his life, etc. I'm sorry, but a thirty-five year old man should know how to act and what is right and wrong. He shouldn't NEED people to explain that to him
And this isn't nearly as caustic as this one:
There is literally nothing appealing about Maks. By the way some talk about him, you'd think he was some sort of adonis or something. I've always thought his so-called good looks were extremely overrated. There are so many better looking men out there who are way more humble and compassionate. And I agree with the anon who wished Meryl had been partners with Derek instead. His choreography would have done wonders for her.
Whether you agree or disagree, it is definitely food for thought.
