I'm off to the Farmer's Market. Cool, clean, air and skies today. But those fires continure to rage...smoke just going elsewhere I guess.
Look at this map of current forest fires or wild fires.
And though the map doesn't extend into Canada, there are many more fires going on in British Columbia.HRM .......are the fires near you?????
Hi April The fires are not close to me but the smoke from the Washington fires made it almost impossible to live for a few weeks. Calgary posts air advisories on a scale of 0 - 10. Zero being excellent 10 being extremely hazardous. For 2 days we were at 19 then it finally dropped down to a range of 11 to 15. People with asthma or any type of breathing problems were unable to leave their homes. I live about 30 - 40 minutes out of the rockies and we can see them so well on an average day. For a few days all they were was a dark shadow through the smoke. I can't imagine how the firefighters can do the job they do. I have the utmost respect for the men and women in that profession. This has been one of the worst season for fires all over. We still have lots burning in Western Canada.
Fall is coming so hopefully the cooler temps will help. We have our greatest fire danger in the fall down here. It ain't over yet!

And the last 4 celebs get announced this morning. Lyndsay has tweeted to be sure to watch GMA this morning, so I think she must be replacing Peta.
