Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Re: Dishin' With The Sisters: Lucky 21

ITS HALLOWEEN NIGHT ON DANCING WITH THE STARS

I love this night. Opening was kinda underwhelming as compared to previous Halloween nights. But as usual the make-up and production teams always outdo themselves on this particular week.

[quote888]AT A GLANCE:
Dance of the Night: Bindi’s AT
Highest Score: Bindi’s AT
Lowest Score: Tamar’s Foxtrot and Nick’s AT
Jeopardy: Alek, Tamar, Alexa

 [/quote888]
Nick and Sharna ScArgentine Tango Nick’s been working his ass off. I thought this song would have been a better paso. This was quite some bit of tango in there, but I felt Nick looked a bit awkward at some points in the beginning, and yes he needs to be sharper for an AT. The lifts were very well executed. =inherit8-8-8 T24

Hayes and Emma Werewolf Waltz Screw Jacob Black, I want Hayes on Teen Wolf now. I thought he looked like Cody Christian as Theo. Working the beard well. I love the version of the song they used. Hayes did an eerily good job here. Saw his butt coming out at some points but he was elegant and mature.=inherit8-9-9 T26 CAI I don’t get your problem

Alexa and Mark Paso Doble I thought this was great. Lots of paso content while keeping up with the theme. Alexa started off a little flimsy but she eventually got into the dance and started bringing all the intensity. She barrelled through the slip up as if it had not happened, props to that! =inherit9-9-9 T27

Tamar and Val Foxtrot Tamar still looks awkward in hold, but it’s been slowly improving. Only question is whether it’s fast enough to keep up with the competition. There were some out of sync moments but on a whole this dance was ok. I like this song. It’s my general perception of people. =inherit8-8-8 T24

Oh Sasha. You’re amazing all the time but even more so when it’s this time of the year.

Andy and Allison Paso Doble Andy completely threw himself into this. Unfortunately he also seemed to be throwing himself around a bit. Fierce and intense, but his posture was all wrong. Allison really needs to pay attention. I like the song and setting and I thought the group sections were pretty cool. Also their contacts are creepy. =inherit9-9-8 T26

Bindi and Derek Argentine Tango Holy shit. This dance was good. And then the neck crack happened. This is the best AT so far this season. Bindi still occasionally laxes on her points and turn outs but she was sharp, fierce and in character. =inherit10-10-10 T30

Cue the prank montage! OMG I love Sasha. Carlos trying to jump into Lindsay’s arms LOL. And Leah is right, you wanna try punching out of reflex. Someone should try scaring Tom.

Alek and Lindsay Viennese Waltz Please, seriously, if you want people to do a waltz, give them a song that’s actually in triple time. That aside, I feel like Alek and Lindsay did a fairly good job. Alek was technically sound. He definitely worked on his expression. And I miss Artem. =inherit9-8-8 T25

Carlos and Witney Paso Doble Holy Schmoly red must be a lucky colour this week. Okay, so Carlos is supposed to be the Phantom? But I thought the mask is white. Works better with the colour scheme I guess. And the starting with the boat made me think he was the gatekeeper to the underworld. Now the dance. It was AMAZING. Carlos did stellar with the cape. This dance was so smokey - what were they trying to hide? There wasn’t anything to hide. =inherit9-10-9 T28

TEAM DANCESI had great expectations for Ghostbusters (gonna call them that because their full name is too darn long) - they had a great theme and an awesome song. The dance was great, but I think it was kinda plain next to Team Nightmare. Sharna gave them a great concept and the setting was also good. I think Ghostbusters could have fared better if they pushed for a more comedic angle. Team Nightmare had a better overall look and feel and more ‘togetherness’ during mass segments, whereas Ghostbusters’ individual couples had better solos, but lack the group effectiveness. Alek was out of sync at the start.

Team Nightmare 10-10-10 T30

Ghostbusters 9-10-9 T28

And now to eliminations. In jeopardy are Hayes, Tamar and Alexa. Now I think Tamar is just there for drama seeing as she didn’t do so well this week as compared to last week. So it was really between Hayes and Alexa and going home is…Hayes. I’m really sad to see him go but at least he went out on a great note. He has definitely grown a lot since the start of the competition and I look forward to seeing what he does next (please Hayes on the infinitesimal chance that you see this please consider being on Teen Wolf).

And for perspective, the contestant’s total scores and final leaderboard from tonight:1. Bindi 30+28=58
2T. Carlos 28+28=56
2T. Hayes 26+30=56
2T. Andy 26+30=56
5. Alexa 27+28=55
6T. Nick 24+30=54
6T. Tamar 24+30=54
8. Alek 25+28=51

I think next week there will be the dance-off thing where one couple gets immune and the rest face off.[/quote888]
