Is this Sharnick's music? Has anyone heard anything about the dances or music? I guess we are not the only ones who are kind of pokey this week.

Good Sunday morning.Morning View...lovely sunrise I think it is a sunrise....
View do you think you should start a new thread for us tomorrow...we are over 300 post on this one...Just wondering????I will start a New Thread tomorrow early morning. We don't want to have "troubles" again, though I have no idea if the size of the thread has anything to do with it. Better safe than sorry.
But it's funny you would mention a new thread. Because I was just tossing this around in my head:
Do we need a Thread for, oh I don’t know…Recipes, Crafts, Books, etc?
CEK has asked me for the Popcorn Ball recipe, I asked Tango for her curd recipe. April asked me what books I’ve read recently. I have a book recommendation I have wanted for some time, to post to Jetmama for her husband.
I’d like some photography comments from CEK. And gardening comments from Cassidy and others.
Etc.
And if they are incorporated in to the general daily DWTS thread, it’s so hard to find them later.
What do you guys think?
Howdy, All!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Winding down here on the Left Coast. Weather is getting nicer....cooling off earlier in the evening so that is great!
View: I think the idea of a thread for "Common Folk" (non-Hollywood types!) or "General Topics" or something much more clever than either of those would be awesome! It would be fun to exchange interesting information such as recipes, books, crafts, upcoming events or occasions, etc. Just in time for the holidays!! I'm in!!

Wish I could stay and chat. So many sisters' comments I want to respond to. Well, here's a brief version:
Luv, hubby had a crunch wrap !!
Tango, I hope things work out for you with jury duty...Wouldn't that be the biggest bummer!!! I looked at your son's rescue dog - and love it. But am mesmerized by the picture next to it of homemade deliciousness. Can you share the recipe?
Hey, View! I don't really have it written down. It's a poutine which is the national dish of Quebec. It's one of those comfort foods that can be a delicacy, or it can be disgusting (ie. don't ever have it at McDonalds in Canada). Essentially, a poutine is crispy French fries, brown gravy and fresh cheese curd (the kind that squeaks when you bite into it.)
I like to make it when I've made a roast and have good homemade brown gravy, but you can make your own gravy from scratch with beef broth, if necessary. The potatoes need to be thoroughly soaked in cold water and rinsed several times and then double fried, so they are as crispy as possible.
I make my own cheese curd because I can't buy it where I live. It's not difficult. I just bought a cheese making kit online and followed the instructions. So you put the cheese curd on top of the fries and cover with hot gravy.
I've seen a number of variations. My favorites are adding pulled pork barbecue to it, or I've had a lobster poutine made with fries and cheese curd of course, then fresh lobster meat and a white sauce. Sometime I'll post the before and after picture I took, where I all but licked the plate clean.
Tango....that sounds very intriguing. I'd be game to try making it if I knew what it was supposed ot look like! I think perhaps we could get cheese curd at Trader Joe's out here. Probably not as good as yours, but....

I won't be on during the show tomorrow. We have a 2 1/2 hours feeding therapy session with the speech pathologist to try to extend the range of food my son is willing to eat. So I am armed with a long shopping list of groceries to bring to the school kitchen tomorrow. Our biomedical doctor told me that I need to get m little guy to eat bone broth and avocados. I coaxed him to try some of my homemade guacamole with a big Lego packet as reward. Result: projectile vomiting through the living room..... Food aversions are hard to understand, but very real. I'm glad it's our speech pathologist tomorrow and not me. It could get interesting!! Wish us luck!
