I follow McCalls and Vogue Patterns on twitter. I hope to get in the sewing mood after the holidays. A simple tunic dress that fits perfectly would be versatile.
Anyway, CEK and others, they had this cute link to their vintage patterns. And who on Downton Abbey they would be best suited for.

I will be working on my computer today to try and get it running properly...I have been using it but can't print anything, don't have Microsoft Word on it and none of my photography programs are to be found...I have backed up all my photographs and documents so I am ready if the memory goes down the drain....
Hope you all are doing well today...it is cold here today but will be 80 by the end of the week,,,this is just a bit hard to grasp in December...
I am going to see what is out there to post for you all...I had mine reset to factory settings a couple of months ago. Then I realised that the external harddrive I had backed up to had viruses through the backup.
Cek did you get your computer fixed yet??? and ummm....it does seem like a warm Christmas week.....do ANY of you have snow?????.......maybe View or HRM?????

So I guess that is about it for me for now...
Have a wonderful day everyone!!! Hope you all are more ready for Christmas than me...LOL but I am not going to "sweat the small stuff" this year...
I know the feeling....but the small stuff ain't so small. Each day I cross something off my list, saying, "really, that isn't that important...who will notice except me"
I will take a little lesson from our departed friend:
How very true that is too View...
I agree I am not sweating the small stuff either and I am so enjoying the season this year

He does, view. But when it gets so hot, the trip to and from the pool, parking in the sun ect. is too much. People have managed to fry an egg on the car's bonnet - just for fun. I sometimes go out to water pot pants, but you'd want to hold your breath. It is like a hairdryer in the face. I don't remember that we had a day as bad a yesterday. Normally, we are ok switching the aircon on around 10 am and opening the house up around 10 pm as we go to bed. I had it running from 7 to 2 am this morning when a cool change came through... don't remember to ever have done that before. But no fires through some miracle. Phew.
Gabriele, you be careful in the heat...I had no idea that it got hot like that where you are....
Hi CEK! Yes, we made it to 111 F on the day. I hope Christmas won't be the same.
Holy Wow Gabriele!! That is HOT...is it humid too????......take care in the heat.......glad no fires though
