In the few minutes of quiet I have today before my day takes off at 90 mph, I want to wish all of the sisters who celebrate (and those who don't) a Merry Christmas. My Christmas Eve will be hectic. We have to finish up everything here than drive down to my parents' house for Mass. We've been asked to get there early to save seats for everyone. (And anyone who's met us know that asking us to get anywhere early is a bad idea.) Then there's a party with lots of cousins and friends, and Santa comes and gives each kid one present. Then we drive back home to await Santa's visit at our house. Tomorrow we are just hanging out at home, though.
Gabriele, my prize arrived. Thank you so much! And April, you will get a huge kick out of this: My daughter's boyfriend gave her an R2D2 screwdriver as part of her present.
Ok, off to the races. Merry Christmas!Merry Christmas to you and your family Vmmm...I hope you have a wonderful time.....
Much the same here...after weeks of baking, cleaning, decorating etc...this is the big night at our house...dinner, games, music, presents etc.
But Christmas Day - other than our church service - will be quite restful. Christmas greeting phone calls to many, leftovers to eat. Children and grandchildren doing their own thing. : ))

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (*waving* to CEK)
Already cooking for our Christmas eve meal later today before we go to church at 5:30. Off to family breakfast and gift exchange this morning at a nearby restaurant. By now I am ready to sit down and have nothing to do....but not yet! Full day ahead tomorrow as well with all the grandchildren for at least part of the day. DIL has grandparents in the area so they split their time.
Wishing everyone happiness and joy on this Christmas eve and throughout the season. Whatever you do or don't do...may there be love, family, and friends to share it with you!

Good Morning Everyone! I've gotten all my baking done so I'm just going to relax and wait for my daughter to come in from Houston later today. If she gets here early enough, we'll attend the Christmas Eve service at our Baptist church then head over to my father's house to meet up with my brothers and sisters and their families to eat and open the presents we got each other.
I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! God Bless you and your families!

Dear Sisters!wishing you all a very merry Christmas amongst your loved ones. We have celebrated on Christmas Eve in our German tradition. My eldest lives with three other students one of whom is orphaned with younger siblings. He will help do the 'family' thing for their younger ones at their house today. Christmas is celebrated on Christmas Day in Australia. We are expecting the hottest Christmas Day in 70 years apparently, just over 100 F. I will keep myself cool by watching a bit of figure skating in between tiding up from yesterday. Russian and Japanese nationals are on. Talk to you later xox
