Well there was a little news...I will try to pop in before bedtime...Have to go and sit with the grandbabies while daddy picks up mommy from work...

If I don't I will see you in the mornings so in advance...

Have a good rest of your night, sleep well and dream happy...HUGS

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

HI, everyone. I have some exciting news about my middle daughter. She found out today that she is salutatorian of her 8th grade class! You all have been with me through her struggles with kids being mean to her, so I wanted to share the good news with you.

This is wonderful, vmmmom!!  Thank you so much for taking the time to share with the Sisterhood.

Yes, I do remember how upsetting it was for her to be, basically, bullied!  Someday I hope  you can let us know how that proceeded, how you handled it, how she coped.

Contratulations to that middle "neice" of ours.  Will she be doing anything (speaking?) as a part of this honor?

I am so proud of her !!!!

Friendship is a priceless gift that can't be bought or sold, its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.

GOOD EVENING FROM THE LEFT COAST!. It has been a hectic and little bit crazy week here.  Grandchildren are here today and tomorrow, which is always a busy time!  We played board games, went to a local park to feed the ducks and turtles, played more board games, picked veggies from the garden, wore the dog out with ball fetching....and now the 3 of us are pretty pooped too!!!  LOL

Son and hubby are flying their model airplanes at a local event this weekend...having a great time, I'm told!  As usual, I fixed a huge pot of spaghetti sauce that's good for about 3 days!!  The 2 kids (mainly) and I consumed nearly 1# of whole wheat pasta when we sat down to eat an hour ago!!  Granddaughter always eats at least 3 LARGE helpings (this girl is the hockey player and about the size of her hockey stick!) and grandson eats at least 2 helpings.  Had to cook up more for the men...whenever they arrive!!  It's already almost 6:30 and they were supposed to call when they were headed home.....yeah, right!!!  LOL

Hope all is well with   Back to the games!

Be back later...I hope!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Thank you--yes, she will be giving a speech. That will be interesting--although she is actually a good speaker. But what do you say when you are addressing people who have bullied you? She'll pull it off, though.

She's learned not to let people bother her so much, but there are still those days...

VERY EXCITING NEWS, vmmm. Congrats to our "middle niece"....and I"m sure she will give a great speech!  Tough to be the middle child....so extra special that she is doing so well.  We will all be cheering for her!

I just received the most amazing
Sisterhood DWTS Game Winner's Prize
from JET
in the mail !!!

To think she most likely sent out 3 of them with our 3-way tie this season....
Wow.  Way above and beyond the call of duty, JET.
I love it.

Certainly an enticement for more sisters - and lurkers - to play, if this is the caliber of prizes we now have to offer.

I must agree with you 110% View...I sent Jet a message this morning.  Wow that was not expected at all but what a useful gift...I love it and so does the rest of my family...they were intrigued by it...

See what everyone is missing by not playing....

You sisters are much too kind!  Glad you liked your "prize"....and hope that you enjoy using them!

I have to share the funniest thing that happened today.  This morning, for whatever reason, grandson was upstairs and decided to look under the bed where he generally sleeps when they are here (his dad's former bedroom).  Lo and behold, he found, in the original case, his dad's Nintendo Game Boy and about 6 or 8 game cartridges from....I think....about 1980-something!!  I said that is a testament to the fact that no one in this house throws anything out....and it will be going home with them tomorrow!!!!!  LOL.  You'd have thought it was Christmas!!! LOL. Funny what makes a kid happy!!!
