I have to go to do a couple things before it gets to late. I will pop back in to see if you are all still here.
I think we should try to do this at least once a month to keep up with each other and just chat. I miss it so much.
I will pop back in. If for some reason some of you have to go I hope you have a great rest of the week.

BAck from my Chinese dinner break!!

One of our nieces has POTS!!! I never have quite understood it but she has had a terrible time with it. She is doing better overall now (she is 59) but after she got the diagnosis (following many, many inadequate and incorrect diagnoses) she went to MAYO in Phoenix and they made the diagnosis almost instantly!! She has had quite a struggle with staying well; doesn’t help she is a flight attendant, but she has not been able to work much for some years. Now she has it figured out hos she can just bid a turnaround trip to Portland 8 times a month, which helps with some of the stress triggers. She is home at 10:30PM.

I am so sorry that Star is struggling with that. It is pretty unpredictable. But there are some places where you can get help. If you would like, I can get info from my niece that may be helpful.

Basically, she gets dizzy going from lying down to sitting ang sitting to standing. She has fainted a couple of times.

Oh my!!!!! Praying for her. Is she on meds? Will this be a life time thing she will have to deal with?

She is not on any meds for it at this point . She just went off a migraine med that can make it worse. She is also taking salt pills and increasing water intake and is wearing compression stockings. There is no "cure", but these are things that can help. Exercise also helps, but if you overdo it, it makes it worse.

I have been keeping track of our national artistic swimming team. They are at Worlds and trying to make the Olympics for the first time since 2008, I believe. I am also into the Super Bowl hype. I don't usually watch when the Patriots aren't in it, but I am invested.

D2 is doing well. She has a new job that she likes a lot better than the previous one. She is also mentoring a robotics team, and this is build season. Star is having a rough time health-wise. She was recently diagnosed with POTS, and she is having a bad flare-up. She is cutting back on classes in an effort to get healthier.

So sorry to hear that. What a horrible diagnosis. Difficult to explain or understand.
