Not always. There would probably be evidence of fuel on the ground from the crash if they had a full tank or even less than that. If they made a couple runs and couldn’t get off, you have to wonder why if the engine was running smoothly.

So it could have been a fuel or engine problem.....you would think, if the engine didn't sound right, not to go up, but then again, like you said, if he didn't have enough flying hours, he might not have noticed that.

yep....LOL....there is a charity called Caps for Kids that gets caps signed by celebrity's for kids with cancer ....they asked her if she could get anyone to sign one who would she pick and she said Paul....LOL...well they told her they had never had any kids ask for him so they would reach out to him but couldn't promise if he would because of how famous he is.....two weeks later they walked into her room and were beaming and gave her the cap ....they said he was really nice and didn't hesitate at all and got it signed and sent back to them really quickly for her ....I have pics of it I can send you....but when she died we put it in the casket with her ....the Docs were all fangirling over that cap....LOL

Oh now that you mention that, the local news show here said that a family member of Nick the pilot called and told them that he was concerned about clearing the trees that were at the end of the runway. Hmmm

So they could have been over weight, but not likely. If it was really hot, density altitude could have been a problem. Must have been a short airfield.

We had a blimp base here for many years, but they must have moved it to FL!!! Their base here closed a long time ago.

I'm not sure if we have the only one or not....its not at the main airport but at the executive airport
